Because we are headed out of town for Christmas this year, we planned Christmas with all the people we love before we leave! Being married and having to split time among families is one of the hardest things that I did not bargain for when getting married.
These memories make it a little bit easier.
First, we all headed to my parents house where we decorated Christmas cookies, my favorite Christmas celebration. Then, we opened presents together. I loved sitting back and watching my family open their gifts that we got them. I love the way that they feel personally thought of and known. From there, we played Twister and taught my niece, Isabella why the game is called this!
Afterwards, we cleaned up and headed to our friends, the Sengebusch’s. There, we did a taco night, had a white elephant gift exchange, and talked for the evening. It was laid back, but we were excited to get back to the boat. All three of us (Kai, Jeremy, and I) love our quiet little oasis. We look forward to returning to it each day back to our cozy little home.
Now tomorrow, we leave this little home for 10 days and I am a little sad to leave the boat behind.
